The word for “socks” in Zulu is “amasokisi”. It sounds like “sokkies” which is Afrikaans and we just loved the word! You can’t be an udokotela or any other fella if you are not dressed for success! And a word of wisdom to the wise, don’t underrate the sock you trust your feet to!
Considering that you will spend 8 to 10 hours a day on your feet, it is probably important to take care of your feet. There are so many things that can cause discomfort in feet, but there is nothing as bad as chafing until you have a blister. It can to some extent be excused if you are wearing new shoes, but socks should never be the cause of blisters!
And just to set the record straight: a sock is not a sock is not a sock! Especially not our socks! Our socks boast a Y-shape heel which forms a pocket where your heel fits in snugly. It also prevents the socks from being “eaten” by your shoes…
No more distress on the smallest toe – our socks have a seamless toe! There is also arch support and extra cushioning at the heel and toe.
Gone are the days of socks that are just steel wool in disguise! Our socks are knitted from material that is very durable but still gives you the softness expected from a sock! The blend of nylon and polyester along with the breathable upper mesh used in the construction of the sock keeps your feet fresh. You should not be suffering from stinky socks!
To add to all of the wow factors already mentioned, our socks don our beautiful Artsy Anatomy design range.
You can extend the life of your socks by following the Doctor’s orders:
- Always wash your socks before use
- Wash in cold or 40°C temperature water
- Do not iron or bleach – like never!
- Avoid the tumble dryer, but the socks are tough and should handle the heat
